So I started a new challenge on GoodReads just for the hell of it.

Vacation/Sickness/Bullet Holes — My Excuse for Absence

So I am so sorry I haven’t been blogged about my super duper cool arse books lately but, I have to tell you since July 22, 2014 my life has been turned upside down on it’s head. On the 22nd of July I was diagnosed with Diabetes and PCOS which is some crazy darn disease that I have no idea it happened or anything else about it except for the book the doctor gave me with it.

I also went to Myrtle Beach last week 🙂 Pretty nice vacation!

And the bullet holes.. well I will save them for another day 🙂

The White Aura by Felicia Tatum

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000035_00005]

Someone Torched my Flame.. Because my light is out on this read. I do not know if I can write a proper review because I feel shafted. I feel like I wasted 4 hours of my life and the only thing that I can say good about this book is that it was Free. My mother always told me if you cannot say something nice to say do not say anything at all. This is why I am a book junkie because I one click reads like this. Phew. another empty space on my Kindle and this light is out.

Something Yellow

3 Stars – Not because I did not like the book and not because I loved the book but because this book was pretty darn good. I had a love/hate relationship with the book and truly did not like some of the twists and turns in the book.

Spoiler: The thing with the Coach was pretty weird to me and did not really hold a place in such a suspenseful, real, and true book. I liked Holly but then again for some reason I felt that I would have connected with Rachel a little more. I felt like every time that I felt we were getting anywhere in the book it turned around and the focus was on something or someone else. I do believe that the author was brilliant and had great ideas I guess I could not take those ideas and run with them because there were so many in the book. This was a good solid 3 star read for the book junkie.

Dark Angel by Tracy Grant

Oh my. Again the minority. This book made me lose it and not in a good way. I didn’t like it at all. I thought the characters were drab.. Silly Me huh? I thought the storyline was somewhat boring and I really really could not get into the story. I actually found myself wishing that I had chosen another book to read for my summer challenge. I will give this two stars because I think the author deserves that and I reserve 1 stars for bad editing, or no story line at all. It may be something that you will like so don’t take my word for it. It has pretty high ratings on GoodReads.

The Selection #1 and The Elite #2 by Kiera Cass

images and images

I found myself extremely scared to read this series. I mean like really afraid that I began the series like 4 or 5 times and put it down before I got to the first page. So let’s give you the Pros and Cons of this FIVE star Story.

I absolutly freakin adore America and the fact that she is tenacious and she has seen the hard times.

I love the caste system in this book (No, I do not think people should be ranked by numbers but in this book it made sense)

I loved the characters even the crazy, and obnoxious ones.

I am a Reality Freak and Everyone is Raving that this book was like The Bachelor.

So while I compared this to the Bachelor I felt like it did just that… Left out the good parts. I wanted to actually see the relationships with the other girls because I feel that would have made me understand the relationships that he shared with all of the girls and not just America. I know that there were snips of why they remained but I want to be able to determine if he is a freakin jerk or not. I also did not like the issue of the rebels. I felt like this did nothing but add drama in a different way then actually showing us more about the selection.

That’s all .. Go READ them Now.

Little Girl Gone (Logan Harper #1) by Brett Battles

So I had time to finish a few books this weekend, There are a few 5 star, a few 3 stars, and then there is Little Girl Gone by Brett Battles

$4.99 on Amazon US : Click Here

In the beginning of the Book I enjoyed Logan but it took so long to get to where I needed to be that I almost gave up on the book. I felt like it lasted anything more than the normal crime fighting, crazy named, wired up on some coffee type of characters. I felt as though the book lacked anything more than conversation. The conversations between the characters were great but eventually that started to bore me. I think that the book was supposed to be about something yet I still don’t have any clue what the book was about. .. and I finished it.
